Bea Armstrong, MFT, is a licensed psychotherapist in Campbell, CA.
She has worked with adults, individuals and couples, for more than 20 years and books an average of 35 clients per week.
Bea was the co-founder of Associated Counselors of Silicon Valley, San Jose, a private practice group, and Bay Area Psychotherapy Associates, where she still works.
She has studied with Dr. Dan Siegel in Los Angeles and attended his monthly seminar for five years on interpersonal neurobiology. A magnet for learning, she is especially fascinated by the academic research on cognitive neuroscience and naturally its application to her work helping clients create healthy and happy lives.
Before entering the mental health field, Bea was an award-winning print journalist for 20 years. She reported and edited for daily newspapers, including The Detroit News and the San Jose Mercury News.
Bea also worked in the marketing department for Sunset Magazine, where she wrote and edited a newsletter targeted to the food and wine industry.
A world traveler, voracious reader, and avid politics watcher, Bea enjoys frequent get-togethers with family and friends. She is especially proud of her new name, “Mima,” so tagged by her five-year-old granddaughter. And birthing the Therapy Marketing Institute with her son, Sean, is the realization of another dream – to help colleagues more effectively reach and help others.
